Nathan's Straw Hat

Wild Nature is Nathan Bennett. Nathan Bennett is a guide, certified teacher and freelance educator in the fields of outdoor, experiential, international, leadership and sustainability education. Following his certification as a teacher, Nathan decided to pursue guide training in order to take his teaching into the outdoor classroom and to increase his knowledge of sustainability issues. Since then Nathan’s passion for real world education has lead him to teaching opportunities with WildED, Sea to Sky Outdoor School for Sustainability Education, Pearson College, CIDA in an Eco-Kids Club in Ecuador, YCI in Costa Rica and the Sunshine Coast Alternative School. In addition, Nathan has shared his passion for the outdoors and adventure through working as a contract guide and eco-tourism company manager for countless different operations and schools. Nathan has been running Wild Nature Education and Adventures for the past 6 years.

Nathan Bennett has recently moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario on the shores of Lake Superior where a Masters of Environmental Studies will take most of his time.  In his personal time Nathan likes to get out and explore the wilderness around him on skis, in boats (sea kayaks, canoes, whitewater canoes and kayaks), on snowshoes, attached to a rope, with boots on, on a bike or in whatever other self-propelled manner that presents itself. Nathan likes his coffee dark in the morning, listening to and telling stories, slow food, dark chocolate, long ridges and sunsets from a sea kayak.
